Click If You're Enthusiastic!

Check it out, a musical blog post! I wrote a song! You can download the MP3 below. After listening you may say, "I'm glad you're a web developer not a musician," but there's a story behind this that I want to share. This may be one of my silliest blog posts, but there's a moral to the story.
It begins with a tragedy. When I was in high school, I used to cut music for our school's drill team. I enjoyed loading sound files and music tracks into the computer and changing them, morphing them, etc. The school bought me the software in exchange for the music. One day, a week before the national competition for our school's drill team, they came over to my house with the tape of the music they were going to dance to for their competition in Anaheim. When I loaded the music into the stereo to feed into the computer, to our horror, I had pushed the Record button and recorded silence over the entire tape. It was their only copy of the tape and well, I felt really really bad for the goof up. It put them in a tight spot right before their competition.
Partially out of guilt, and also out of a desire to make things right, I sat down at the keyboard and composed this upbeet song for the dance team. They were able to recoup their loss and went on to do well at the national competition. Although losing their competition music was a tragety, the dance team showed spirit, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm on competitoin day.
Enthusiasm is such an import part of business, and having that enthusiasm show on your website such a great way to draw customers in. Before sitting down to write your newsletter, e-mailing customers, updating your blog, etc., think "enthusiastic" and then let it shine through. Remember, "to be enthusiastic, you must act enthusiastic" first.
I'm very enthusiastic about Danemco. I'm so happy to work here with wonderful coworkers, clients, and interesting projects. I sincerely believe our products are stellar and enjoy the creative nature of the work we do. I love writing these blog posts, I hope they benefit someone some day.
Well, now that you've heard the song, leave a comment and let me know what you think.
