Brainstorming topics to discuss on your Facebook page

Posted by administrator on Saturday, July 2nd, 2011

So you have a Facebook page, and you are starting to get a bunch of Likes.  What next?  Besides posting newsy items that relate to your business, consider asking your Facebook fans some questions to stimulate discussion.

Here are some examples:

  • Should (employee / grandson name) cut his / her hair? (and post a photo of of the person)
  • What products would you like to see more of?
  • What's been your best quilting retreat you've been on and why?
  • What products do you wish your local quilt store carried?
  • Complete the last line of this poem (come up with thee lines of a poem and have your fans finish it).
  • It's almost Christmas and you just realized you don't have enough fabric to finish that quilt you're giving away as a gift. What do you do?
Keep in mind that Facebook doesn't have to be formal and business-only.  It should still be professional, but engaging.  Engage your readers with fun things, and they'll comment and discuss your Facebook page with their friends.  After all, what good is a social network if nobody is talking to each other?
